Missibaba is a luxury accessory label established by leather devotee Chloe Townsend in 2005. Passionate about South Africa and supporting local industry Chloe works alongside business partner Lizel Strydom from a light flooded studio in Woodstock, Cape Town.
Missibaba combines the heritage of artisanal craftsmanship with a touch of humour and whimsy. We love Chloe Townsend’s creative spirit, it reflects a multicultural aesthetic that we’re drawn to and celebrate within our own brand too.
We think it’s so important to highlight and support local design and as such we collaborated with Missibaba to shoot a dreamy campaign of the Iconic Clutch Collection. This was the last of a series of releases to celebrate Missibaba’s 10th birthday.
Our Krone Vintage Rose MCC was just the thing for the shoot as it’s a blend of two noble grape varieties, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Plus, like a clutch is the ultimate accessory for a night out—the grapes for this bubbly have been night harvested in the Tulbagh Valley; and left on the lees in the underground cellar for 12 months. Celebrating both the light, and the dark—the blend is a pink paradox!
It was an absolute honour to pair our Methodé Cap Classiques with this innovative local brand. There’s great synergy between the two brands: the person who is edgy and current yet with good old fashioned values: a person who cherishes friendship, fun and beauty.
